For schools & colleges

The student wellbeing survey tool students actually answer.

Anonymous check-ins for every year group in a warm mobile app, staff wellbeing surveys your Charter commitment expects, and results that surface what needs attention. No spreadsheet in sight.

Forms feel like a test.

Google and Microsoft Forms need accounts, look like homework, and students doubt they're anonymous. There's a whole search cluster for "how to make Google Forms anonymous". Moodly is anonymous by architecture, and students can see it.

Per-response pricing punishes listening.

Tools metered per response make a whole-cohort termly check-in an expensive habit. Moodly is one flat annual price sized to your school, so you can survey everyone, every half term, without the invoice growing.

Data arrives, insight doesn't.

A CSV of 900 responses isn't a safeguarding picture. Dashboards aggregate by year group with a small-cohort guard, so trends are visible and no student is ever singled out.

Student voice

Check in with every year group, not just the loudest voices.

Wellbeing check-ins, belonging & safety, and exam-season pulses that work for any year group, from tutor-time check-ins to sixth-form and college pulses, built for students who won't fill in anything that feels surveillance-shaped. Magic-link sign-in, no passwords, and every survey is anonymous by default.

  • A mobile app that feels nothing like a worksheet
  • Anonymous by default: identity never stored with answers
  • Year-group targeting with results privacy thresholds
Staff wellbeing

Measure staff wellbeing like the Charter asks.

The DfE Education Staff Wellbeing Charter commits 4,100+ schools to measuring staff wellbeing and responding to it, but it ships no question set. Our Charter-aligned staff survey and workload snapshot give you an honest, anonymous read in under ten minutes of staff time.

  • Charter-aligned staff wellbeing survey, ready to send
  • Workload snapshot: hours, drivers, and what would help
  • Anonymous, so staff say what they mean
Year plans

A listening rhythm, planned once.

Apply a year plan and the whole cadence is scheduled in one go: wellbeing every six weeks, belonging termly, staff pulses quarterly, an exam-season arc through spring. Surveys open and close themselves, and you read the results.

  • Ready-made plans: wellbeing year, exam season, belonging termly
  • Every survey opens and closes on schedule
  • A timeline view of the whole year at a glance
Standards & duties

Built around the duties schools already have.

Almost nowhere is "a survey" itself mandated. The pattern is a duty to listen and act, with a survey as the accepted method. Moodly gives you the method, the cadence, and the evidence trail.

DfE Education Staff Wellbeing Charter

Signatories commit to measuring staff wellbeing and acting on what it shows. Our Charter-aligned survey covers workload, leadership, switching off, trust and support.

Ofsted: personal development & wellbeing

A named graded area on report cards since November 2025. Your own termly wellbeing and belonging data is supporting evidence inspectors can't get from a one-off snapshot.

Pupil voice (Education Act 2002, s176)

Schools must consult pupils and have regard to their views. Anonymous, regular, whole-cohort surveys are a defensible, low-burden way to show you do.

These duties bind your school, not the tool. Moodly helps you gather and evidence honest feedback; it doesn't make you compliant by itself.

Questions

Asked a lot, answered straight.

Do students need accounts or emails?

No Google or Microsoft accounts needed. Students sign in once with a magic link and answer in the app or browser, with no passwords to forget and nothing to install on school machines.

Is it really anonymous?

Yes. Anonymity is architectural, not a checkbox. Answers are stored without identity, and aggregate views enforce a minimum group size you control, so a year group of three can't be read as individuals.

How does pricing work for schools?

One flat annual price sized to your school, never metered per response: survey every student termly or run a single class pilot, the price doesn't change. Trust and multi-school pricing is a quick quote, and everything else is on the pricing page.

Can we survey staff and students separately?

Yes. Audiences are targeted by role and year group, staff surveys stay staff-only, and results dashboards keep the two apart.
